Reset Protection Counter Without Software

Some resetter programs may not work to reset protection counter for your printer.
Try following steps below but it depends on the printer model.

Epson Photo R200, R210, R300, R310

  1. Press and hold “Stop” button, follow by “Maintenance” and “Power” button together for 10 seconds.
  2. Turn off the printer and unplug the printer for 1 minute.
  3. Turn back on the printer and the counter will be resetted.

Epson All-In-One CX3100 and CX3200

  1. Turn OFF the printer.Â
  2. Press B/W + Color + Stop button together and hold.
  3. Press Power ON button and hold (4 buttons on hold now and don’t release the buttons until you see the light indicator is blinking. A message will be displayed on the LCD)
  4. Release all buttons.
  5. Press the Color button once.
  6. Turn OFF the printer.
  7. Turn ON the printer and the protection counter should be resetted.

Here is the software to reset the protection counter for your Epson R300 & R310

I haven’t tried it because I don’t have this printer, so I couldn’t give you a feedback on how successful this software to reset the protection counter. Please help me to give a comment if you have tried the software (successful or failed story, welcome). Click here to download the software (795Kb).

Please bear in mind that you are supposed to change/clean your waste pad before you reset it to prevent ink spill from your printer.
