Your epson cartridge has chip attached. You have to reset it using chip resetter. You have to buy this device from the shop at your area. It has nothing to do with resetter program that reset protection counter.

Hi terje,

Could you try these steps below? It will try to reset the protection counter manually without software.

1. Press B/W + Color + Stop button together and hold
2. Press Power ON button and hold (4 buttons on hold now and don’t release the buttons until you see the light indicator is blinking. A message will be displayed on the LCD)
3. Release all buttons
4. Press the Color button once

regarding “reseterforCX31…” on XP
have you tried to copy the .dll files til the system(32) directory?
i suppose windows looks there for dll files hven a program asks for it…
i tested it briefly, with partial luck.

this is what i have tried.
- copyed the dll files (to both directories )
- right klicked on the program file. -properties – choosed Win98/me under compatibility, and checked the two boxes at the bottom (not shure what it says in english. mine is norwegian )

the program starts, but i get communication error…

hi from France ,
i’ve the same problem than Brian , it’s impossible to run the .exe fill, the message told me it doesn’t fin the osswitch.dll file but the file is here .
i try ssc service utilisty for the epson cx3200, the program run but don’t reset the counter.
please could you help me ?

I have tried this software using Windows 2000 Professional and it was working. I didn’t try the software on XP.

I suggest that you try to download SSC Service Utility program from http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml

I have tried your software file “ReseterForCX3100CX3200.zip” on Windows XP with Epson CX3100 printer connected and switched on.
I was not able to get the execute file to run in this environment. When double clicked nothing seems to happen.Have you tried to open the ex file in XP?
Is there possibly some dll or something missing from the above zip file?
