    Dear All
Epson D68 printer flagged up service/maintenance warning then stopped altogether with two flashing red lights on top of printer
Contacted Epson for advice as was advised to have printer serviced and/or replaced even though nothng wrong with it
Went off line in disgust and then contacted a local agent who provided me with your address
Downloaded programme and reset printer with no difficulty All now well
    Thanks
    Clive

Hi – I downloaded the file as a zip file, but I cannot figure out how to actually run the software. Can you help?

    thanks Robert

Have you extracted the zip file? It contains many files inside. You can download the winzip program at winzip.com. After that just execute the program named APSC68Series_Ver10.exe.

    Hope this help

Thanks – I got as far as the input box to “read” the original setting, however it came up with an error message : communication error code 20000010

The printer is flashing red lights on “ink out” and “paper out” warning lights. Does this mean it is totally locked and unresponsive to any input from my computer? If I hold down the switch on button I can get a green power light when I switch on at the wall, but it is still not letting me get a connection.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks

    Robert

    Hi Robert,

I hope that you downloaded the right program and choose the right printer when you try to reset the protection counter.

I don’t see any other issue except the connection between your computer and printer. Try to install printer status monitor software that come with your printer purchase. Verify that you get the error message that said part of your printer has end of life or something similar to that.

If yes, that this software that you download will do the job. Beside that, it’s quite hard for me to guess what is the problem there.

    Hope this help.
    Cheers
